So can I use a Shimano olive when I shorten Ms AD's Avid hose this evening? If not, what about a Hope one, I seem to have all sorts except Avid.

think they are different, have both, the hope ones are split and avid are seperate.

If they look different and for the sake of 50 pence or a new kit for £2 don't risk wasting brake fluid or your neck downhill!

If you die can I have your bike? exactly -same answer to your olive use.

well, that's told me!!

I guess the Hope ones are split to make them reusable? At least they are split once you cut through where they are scored.

I'm not too tight to spend £2, I was trying to save a drive across town to get some.
