Hi, I would like to convert my current 2011 (i think) NP mega to 1x10 from current 2x9 (24/36 SLX double on at the moment).
GOing to use a 42t one-up at the back, and I have a 30T raceface NW ring ready for the front.
But... I seem to remember reading that the suspension was designed around a 36T ring. Anyone have any experience?
certainly in the granny ring it gives it sone odd characteristics that I would be keen not to have all the time in a 1x set up.

I'm running a single ring 32T on my 2013 Mega. Zero problems. About to stick a 30T NW on as it's a drag up hills.

The NP is going to get a bit of a makeover, been a bit neglected since last summers big mountain antics. I just wonder if the 2013 Mega has different geo, as is this not when they have AM and TR versions?
