MegaSack DRAW - 6pm Christmas Eve - LIVE on our YouTube Channel
I have a pair of these forks for my daughters bike and one of the seals on the stanchion is weeping oil.
I've had a look online and keep seem to find instructoins to strip them to get the stanchions out and swap the seals.
I'm not sure of the year, they are old and if it helps, the bottom of the stanchion is open so you can see the plunger sliding up and down.
any pointers would be appreciated.
Cheers
It look like www.AngryAsian.com has shut down 🙁
But how about this

Thanks for the link.
Mine has the cast one piece arch and stanchion assembly so maybe not the exact same one but certainly a good starting point.

This any help?

🙂
basically for old zocchis.. its..
remove any air from forks if they're air sprung..
Remove preload adjusters with tiny screw in if coil..
Remove circlips from under preload adjusters..
unscrew topcap with socket..
remove preload gubbins..
remove springs..
pour out old oil into container..
cycle dampers a few times while doing this..
unscrew bolt in base of forks
(its easier to leave these bolts in the forks once undone i find.. they stay in place as they have an o-ring on them)
Remove damper carts / dummy legs..
point tiny hole in base of damper at the oil container..
cycle damper and squirt old oil out of damper into container..
slide stanchions out of fork lowers..
Remove Seals / bushings as necessary.
Reverse process to put back together...
oil heights are in the manuals above..
and don't forget to put the top out springs back in when you rebuild the forks.. its reasonably annoying when you forget to do that..!
That's great chaps....thanks for the pointers.
