I've got an 07 stumpy like this one

Forks have never been touched and after many years of abuse and now 6 months of sitting idle, they are dead. Pissing oil everywhere and definitely needing tlc

Question is, is it worth servicing or should I just replace with something from classifieds? Wouldn't have much of a budget for replacement but, if I did, could I put on a longer travel fork?

If I go down the service route, this will be virgin territory for me so, what kit would I need and any good online guides?

I've got one of those, 120 is normal but I'm pretty sure you can go up to 140 as the top end ones did use 100/140 talas.
If its a fox fork you can google for f120 service instructions.

I'd say if its never been touched its probably shagged, and easier to replace. I run a rockshox reba 120 on mine, and servicing it is a doodle. eBay for a bargain. You could give it a go though, but if you don't have tools or oils you could end up spending as much on the kit as on a 2nd hand fork and if you're not one for doing it regularly there's probably not a huge amount of point.
