My mate was after a road bike for his 14 year old lad.

Local cyclist was clearing out so offered up a grey s works m2 bike with full 9 speed Campagnolo Chorus, Campagnolo Scirocco wheels, etc along with some new bits.

Ribble warehouse clearance mean a set of 1" threaded alu steerer carbon forks on their way.

Was the s works m2 mmc frame decent in it's day?

Back in the day, yes.
Just tell your friends son to be prepared to have his fillings rattled out on rough roads. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Not the most forgiving frame ever designed. Should be a good retro build though if it's in good condition.
