Santa Cruz Bullit. Not the best climber especially with the Boxxer, but it does ok and is so much fun downhill.

I like the Five, but ride a Yeti 575 as it's a better bike ๐Ÿ˜‰

Also ride a P7 to keep it real in the winter months.

Right, I don't HATE the 5, I've never ridden one BUT visually the rear triangle doesn't do it for me.

On my second Heckler thanks to some pikey theiving scrotes

I'd have a Five if they were lighter, cheaper and came in nicer colours as standard. And maybe if they had an inch more travel.

But instead I got a Mondraker Dune...

Another Helius here in CC variety. Seemingly almost as common as the 5 judging by this thread.

I don't hate the 5, just think it is and overpriced, butt ugly, heavy lump ๐Ÿ™‚

I ride a chumba xcl which is lovely.

Not mine (it's in bits) but you get the idea:

I don't hate the Five either. If it were less expensive it would probably be on my shortlist. I think people have an issue with it's mechanical simplicity when multiple pivots proliferate, but I quite like the idea of the ease of maintenance.

As for me, I ride an Enduro and a Wolf Ridge. You'll find thousands of pictures of very similar examples using google.

I'd have a 5 if it were slacker, had some more travel, and were a bit tougher.

I ride a Patriot.

Wouldn't exactly count myself as a hater as i've never ridden one, but i do think they're over priced and just plain ugly, this is mine and although it's un-fashionable i love it

[img] [/img]

Would love a transition bandit though.

I will always be riding this Maverick ML7, and I don't hate any bikes.

I love the fact that all people can ever really say is that Fives are over priced and ugly. I ride an old straight top tubed 5 and think it looks great. I even like the new ones. And whilst riding the other day with my mate on his Zesty, and he turned to me and said "mate, you're bike looks great". Beauty is deff in the eyes of the beholder. every one loves their own bike.

I can't afford a new one so i won't buy one end of.

BTW, Those Mavericks look gopping, and, imo, I think Nicolai's look dull. they probably are really good though. The Transition's look really nice though.

I have a Blue Pig, Jekyll, Gemini and BigHit. No decent pics I'm afraid bc I'm using my phone.

These days I am mostly riding the Ragley.

Orange Fives : never ridden one, have no huge issues with the single pivot as it a short travel bike and the inevitable brake jack will be less noticeable. They do seem a bit pricey. They are not very pretty.

I like the Five, it feels great to ride and will handle whatever you through at it. It's not the prettiest bike out there, but it's a design classic, and it's British.

However, I prefer...

I havent ridden a five so certainly dont hate them, they just seem poor value for money, having just said that I now ride an Ibis Mojo HD, so I guess I cant throw stones about poor value for money

Don't hate it, just feel a bit sorry for it, with all the polarised opinion.

My saddle's flat on the 575, it just looks tilted forward due to the angle of that photo. I can't stand nose down saddle for more than 5 mins either ๐Ÿ˜

Your Ibis is a thing of beauty ๐Ÿ™‚

Blur LT here. I'm not a 5 hater but think the new ones are a bit slack for everyday UK riding. I wouldn't decribe them as ugly either
