Was at Delamere last sunday morning and parked on the road by the Eddisbury Fruit Farm Cafe - which happens to be at the bottom of a long and fast hill.
Came back from the ride to find the front wing pushed in in two places and a 2" scratch of removed paint on the front bumper. It's defo not done by another car as the paint on the wing is not scratched at all - it certainly looks like someone came down the hill too fast for the 90 degree turn at the bottom and just ran straight into my car landing with both hands on the wing.
Not sure if it's a new wing job or if it can be pulled out by one of these paintless repair people. Either way it's annoying.
😡

Maybe not parking at the bottom of a bike descent is a plan for the future! Just saying like 🙂

Living in the area and riding down that hill regularly, I can think of several better places to park!

You might find that paying a few quid to the forestry commission by parking in their car park isn't just a good way to support their good work but is also a cheaper option....!

Ironically that's the first time I've parked right there I only live a couple of miles away and and we normally meet in oscroft and ride in from there - the only time we get to the visitor centre is at the end of the ride for a tea. I've parked in the field opposite the tea rooms a couple of times but they've now put gates across (which actually makes us less likely to go there for a tea even though their bacon and egg butty is pretty good).
Looking at the location this morning Im now not sure it was a bike but maybe someone from the fruit farm - either way it's crappy to do something and not leave a note.

went to watch a rally stage in darkest wales once, a chap drove up the stage not long before it started (a bit cheeky) and parked on the outside of a left hander, about 20 ft from the apex.
"you sure you want to park there?" we asked
"I'll park where i ****ing like!"
So we stopped to watch.
