Welcome back.
Never mind your fingers, I wouldn't have any feeling in my arse after a trip like that. Well done
arse , feet ย neck are all fine just the nerve damage! not to mention the damage to my wallet after the most expensive free race I have ever entered! ๐
Suspension next time even the carbon jones could not dampen the constant pummelling
Pulling wheelies up the road climbs probably did not help ๐

Yeah not a bad wee bimble that Postie 😉
No feeling in your hands ay? Sounds like many an opportunity.
Took mine about four months to recover from it last year Rich. Not sure there's anything but time TBH
4 months for me after a 900 mile ride. Not severe though, just numbness and pins and needles.
Oh dear.ย I suffered nerve damage to my fingers after some long-ish audaxes on fixed wheel.ย I tried all the usualย 'remedies' but couldn't find a solution other than to make the change to riding a recumbent.ย I now fancy doing some off-roading (probably on some of the HT550 trails) and have just bought the same bike (not yet assembled) which you have, hoping the upright position and Jones barsย would staveย off theย return of numb fingers!
By the way, I regained feeling in my fingers a few months after I made the change to recumbents.ย However, it sounds like you have damaged different nerves.ย I experienced shooting pains (like electric shocks)ย up my arms, and it was my ringย fingers which were worst affected.ย After the first ride I experienced the symptoms, I noticed that subsequent rides in wet and cold conditions accelerated the onset of numbness.ย Although I've regained feeling in all my fingers, I think my hands are more likely toย loose feeling in winter (driving myย draughty Land Rover with a freezing cold steering wheel can still make my fingers goย a bit funny).
