That other thread's great, but I reckon we can do worse than that. I'm going to set the bar pretty low with this shot of me.

Old roadie top from late 80s (worn when road riding v unfashionable) - check
Lycra shorts - check
More pads than WC downhill riders wear - check
Ridiculously long camelbak hose poking out of old rucksack - check
Sitting down while riding a steep, techy bit - check

[img] [/img]

This was only taken four years ago, when I clearly didn't give a toss what I looked like when riding. Might bust that Kas top out for a ride again soon though.

Now let's see yours...

And a different sort of action:

Riding my friend Nick because his shoes were slightly more waterproof than mine. As another friend put it: "You're such a princess, Ed"

Yeah, first time I (literally) hit it and didn't even realise it was there. Wrong line and nearly went down the hole ๐Ÿ˜€ (bike did fall down it).

Me, looking at one line and clearly taking another at a Brownbacks race a couple of years ago. Made the BC website so loads of people could see how lame I was. [img] [/img]

Walking in a race, no matter how steep the hill, is not the done thing, (this isn't cyclocross)

Only got a hard copy, but I've got one which just typifies what everyone (riders included!) hates about XC racing - a very long grass climb, muddy, no one else in sight. I look miserable.
