Oh dear…..and it was going so well too!
Jubilant with passing my final clinical placement and the prospect of having free time I set to work this morning on ‘Finishing’ (foretelling) the troutie mini unit….finally!
All the components checked (so I thought) I commenced with the final soldering ….connected it up….NOTHING..sort of?
Umm, retest all components individually seemed a good plan and in doing so managed to toast the LEDs & driver (I think)...must have made a short circuit.
The route problem turned out to be a broken wire inside the switch housing, which was a bit odd as the system did flick on for a second; perhaps the sugru was holding everything together.
So frustrating as the switch was working fine in isolation, I must have snapped a solder while ‘teasing’ the wires to run along the bars.
All in all a sad ending, feel like I’ve just lost a dear friend…I’m actually grief-stricken (HTFU) 😛

How much would you charge to mill out the old LED beds (they’re well stuck on, screw driver can’t shift em) and supply 3 LEDs of similar dimensions …oh and a driver too if you have one...can Paypaly ya!
