Yes folks, rumours of my death have been grossly exaggerated. I've just suffered a loss of riding mojo which I intend to put right.

So, this Sunday, Winchcombe Library car park (Streetmap appears to not be working at the moment, but the postcode is GL54 5PZ), 10:30 start. All welcome, be there or be somewhere, you know, warm.

Not the dreaded Cotswold Massive!!!

The evil Cotswold Massive kidnap the lovely Cinnamon Girl, but Nettles fretted over the risk of straining his hernia...

What route you planning, what's the pace likely to be, and how long you gonna be out for etc?

Cheers

Mboy - route not yet planned but sociable pace (esp. considering my recent lack of riding and consequent lack of fitness), probably three hours-ish.

If I can get permission from SWMBO can I tag along.
Probably off the back somewhere.
Actually is there a B ride?

Went up Cleeve in the snow with some mates last night for a night ride, it was awesome riding, crisp enough to be fast rolling with some interesting drifts in the dips.......some 5cms, some 2ft!!!

Get up there and have some fun!

PS - anyone know where I can buy a sledge locally for Friday so I can take my daughter up for her first ever sledging!?

Ooh, sounds like there might be a right little posse. Smashing. Must decide where to go.

Miles - I've got a plastic sledge you can borrow if you like. I can bring it to work on Friday (The Grange in Bishop's Cleeve). You can pick it up and give it me back on Sunday.

Can someone on the ride mention the Big Bike Bash please. It will be a great change for the Cotswold Massive to meet the Southern Shandy Drinkers. I wonder we can organise some clique vs clique competitions.

Anyway tickets for sale at http://www.bigbikebash.co.uk/tickets.php so decide who is coming and please buy you tickets soon as we have to limit the event to just 500 people.

Cheers

Friday bump. Fingers crossed it will be snowy, but I have a feeling it'll be slushy/muddy ๐Ÿ™

Whatever, it'll be a lark

Right, turns out that I can no longer deny to myself that I have a cold. It's the prodigious amounts of snot being produced by my nostrils that eventually persuaded me.

So, unfortunately I'm not coming tomorrow. I'll try to contact those that I can mail addys/phone numbers for, apologies if anyone shows up without finding out first

If anyone fancies going out anyway, I can provide details of the route I was going to do.

Sorry all.

You would have needed to amend the route any way Si.
Just go back of Cleeve, its deep up there!!
I'll post a few pictures latter.

Nice pics Graham.

It was excellent Si, didn't go far really, from Winchcombe past Sudely Castle up to Belas Knap, then retraced our route. There was a lot of pushing involved going up, but coming back down was hilarious.

Great fun - looks like its started to snow again. Cant wait for tomorrow now. The hip flasks at the top made the day as well as falling off going back down.
