mounting biking sounds rad! what do i have to do to do that then?
LOL ๐
I just asked:
Hello,
Re your description: "THE STEM IS 11/2" NOT 11/8" BUT YOU CAN GET REDUCERS THEY WILL FIT ANY MOUNTING BIKE"
Please can you explain exactly how a fork with a 1.5" steerer can be fitted to a bike with a 1.125" head tube?
Thanks,
-willej
Can you tell that I'm frustrated that I'm poorly and can't go out on my bike? ๐
If they're off a new bike, why the fork box??
DrP
For postage I guess - he does say he's replaced them with Fox Forx . . . hope he got the right steerer size ๐
Get well soon willej . . . it's lovely out there.
I'm not as worried about ebay numptitude, as I am about Mamadirt being let loose on a computer, with a credit card, on Easter Sunday...
Are the locals not starting to wonder where their children keep disappearing to?
(Sold into slavery by Mamadirt, so's she can feed her tiny bikes addiction. She's already sold her own. And the cat.)
Thanks Mama'. It's not so nice where I am but I'd still be out if I weren't coughing up gunge.

Don't think anyone would want to buy next door's ๐ . Oh, and no credit cards were harmed in this morning's ebay browse . . . I went out for a quick ride instead.
Just got a reply:
"you can change the headset"
Oh dear.
Anyone outhere know if a headset is available which will take a 1 1/8" to 1.5"?
I ask because the seller seems to think that it can be done!!!!
I think i upset him with my helpful advice ๐
What did you say?
I asked him about the box, and these magic headset reducers (increaser's). It's a Fox box (and he's right!). He has confirmed that it's a 1.5" steerer, and isn't saying anything more about reducers.
He's probably getting very excited about all this interest.....
he may be into his mountain bikeing [sic] but he isn't into his spelling or grammar, is he...?
as they say in germany, depp.
I asked him how long the steerer tube was, he Say's he's going to check...!?
Well, although I've no idea what the reserve is, with such a low start it looks like it could be a bargain - real shame he's not taken the questions on board and altered the listing as anyone out there looking for 1.5s could get a bargain. I'd love a pair of 2 step Lyriks but they're waay out of my price range, hence the search for 'Lyric' and the hope that not so many folks would spot the auction - that's how I found them. Well, I guess I've blown that little plan now . . . doh ๐
mamadirt - fatfingers.com - searches typo's for you ๐
Cheers chvck . . . like I need an excuse to spend more money ๐
