Hello
How will fitting a carbon zero offset seatpost effect my bike's handling compared to the 12mm offset alloy post i have now.

Depends on your saddle position. You might get away with no change in body position if your saddle has long rails. I'm about to do the same

Depends where you mount the saddle, after changing posts, if you push the saddle back by 12mm it won't make a difference.
