Is 'fixie' another name for a crack pipe?

I thought they were mental enough in London, but that takes the biscuit.

Also proves not all messengers ride fixies or even SS!!

Looks like my average day commuting through Bristol... Minus the crack (I prefer jelly babies).

I found that somewhat unnerving. Too scary for me, but then so much is!

Yawn. And we wonder why drivers in city have it in for cyclists... ๐Ÿ™„

I gave up being a courier in London the week one of our motorcyclists lost an arm, and a cyclist lost both legs in accidents. The previous week, a motorcyclist had been killed. The following week, I heard another motorcyclist had been paralysed.

'Yeah, great, look at how rad and awesome we are'.

Yeah, and that wheelchair/coffin's gonna suit your real well, eh?

Pfft.

Elfinsafety: Worked in the London courier industry for 15 years. We have over 200 riders, drivers. Never had a fatality, one unfortunate pushbike rider lost a limb.

Very surprised to hear of so many fatalities in a month, sure you are not exagerating?

Nope. Was a very bad couple of weeks actually. But injuries were commonplace. Virtually every day someone was coming off. Mind you, the way some of them rode, I wasn't surprised.

Think I only ever had one or two offs. But then again, I didn't ride like a prick like those in the video. Still got me stuff delivered quickly.

Definitely nowhere near the number of cycle couriers in town these days. When I was working, there were whispers of this new thing coming that would spell the end for small document deliveries...

Email.
