Got a Trek 6500 and the bottom bracket needs replacing (along with the rest of the drive train...) Is there a way of finding out the relevant size without taking it out first (would like to order before I take bike apart...)?
Trek site seems to have everything else apart from this... Forum search hasn't helped...

PS - any recommendations for brand / model v welcome - regular thrash bike so want reasonable wear but not looking to spend a fortune...
