Planning on entering my local national xc race.
Should I enter sport or veteran?
Assume standard is high. I'm fit but not really built for xc, usually get lapped by the likes of Paul Oldham at cross races.
Would prefer to ride vets as that's on the same day as the elites so can stick around for a day out watching.

When I last raced Masters / Vets was full of sand bagging elites who couldn't win the Elite race, so dropped back to Masters / Vets as they could podium in that. I raced Sport, even though I was 20 years older than anyone else in the field) as it was a much cleaner field and you got a fair race. Having two parallel streams, one based on ability and one based on age is just daft in my opinion.
