[Closed] not using a steel framed bike for a while - seatpost in or out?

I've always been a bit paranoid of getting water in my steel frame. It's got a couple of coats of framesaver applied and I remove the seatpost, tip it upside down for a while to drain after a wet ride, so it's pretty safe. For various reasons, I don't get out as much over the winter and the bike might be left down the shed for a few weeks without a ride. I've heard that it can be a good idea to leave a bike with the seatpost out to left it 'air'. Is this a good idea or will it just let condensation in?

Honestly, I can't see it mattering much either way - Sometimes being airtight makes condensation worse, as temperature changes lead to pressure changes. Really, though, just make sure the seatpost is greased.
