Giant connect droppers are cheap, serviceable and work well. I have one still in service after 5 years and 2/3 of my reverbs have been warrantied.

Also nobody agrees with each other anymore... ๐Ÿ˜†

Oh that's right Brexit. Does that mean bikey stuff will be even more pricey now?

Beer and bikes. Can you do one without the other?

Don't make me ride on the road

What is understood doesn't need to be discussed.

I bought my first proper MTB 4 years ago. It's so out of date now, I might as well have bought a penny farthing. Good time to come back, hopefully standards will, y'know, standardise, for a while now.

There's now about 50 tyre sizes to go along with the umpteen wheel sizes. Makes it amusing when no one can lend anyone else a tube mid ride when they've had a flat (these are however far from frequent as everyone except hippee Stu is tubeless).

TJ left and is back again, flashy gave up selling paperclips and now is a shoe model, bearnecessities has nearly finished his house, there were a few world class flounces, the Gif's thread is good fun and piegate will never be settled.
There was also some bikes ridden.

Dropper posts? He said 3 years.

Our steeds now come in different colourways.

Manufacturers have radically changed their geometries - by putting? the 'S' sticker on last year's medium frame, and the 'M' on the old large.

3 years ago was like:

[img] [/img]

Everyone in lycra, and our idea of a good ride was to go out and trash around a flat muddy field till we threw up.

Today, we are all like:

[img] [/img]

It's all about the tricks n' air-time bro. Even grannies on bikes pull back flips off the curb these days! Serious, you gota get with the program dude, we so stoked about it........

26 and 29 were dead when you left according to the journos. Now 27.5 is dead and your 27.5 frames are going to be 26+ and 29ers are back, 27.5 is apparently going the way of 1.5 straight steerers like a few pariahs were saying.

This of course, could be total shit - 24 inchers might be in again by next week.
