Just back home after a fantastic few days with Al and Bertil. The trip was as spontaneous as the weather. We still managed to laugh as icy hail stung our cheeks. We rode roads that I'm ashamed at fifty one to say were new to me. There were still lots we missed. I'm certain to go back to make amends.

Our trip was only four and a bit days. It was full of adventure and fun. The landscape and welcome in the northwest highlands are both exceptional.

I will try and upload my pics tomorrow to the blog, it will help illustrate my ramblings.

If anyone wants to try a few days touring in Scotland, you could do a lot worse than ride the northwest highlands.

Some great pics there Al. I had a squint through the rest of the stream, I will add them to the blog.

I need to invest in a better camera.

More jealousy here. Lovely country but always a lottery with the wind. Still, no moaning about the midges this time around.

I couldn't manage to upload Als pics directly from Flickr to our blog, but I could copying the links from here. So a plea to Al, could you add some more (lots more) of your pics here and I'll add them to the blog.
