[Closed] Non standard size wheel bolt on my on one pompino

I have a on one pompino with a Miche primato hubs on the wheels. The other night I noticed the bolt had come off on one side at the front. I bought a standard wheel bolt only to find out this not fit as the miche hub has a non standard size axle and thus requiring a non standard size bolt.

Anyone got any suggestions for where I can get a replacement?

Also I cannot get enough tension on the chain to stop it bouncing off. Being a single speed should I put a chain tensioner on similar to a bmx? Any suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

should I put a chain tensioner on
Yeh (chaintug). on-one sell them but surly are supposedly much better

(Edit: you sure the chainline is right ?)

No idea re bolt size. Have you tried to google it to find out what size they are ?

Not sure there is a standard size but 9.0mm by 1 is the most common don't know if that's what miche use though

I think I had a similar issue with the On-One track hubs - I think the axles have a fine thread. I did borrow my dad's thread gauges and check and in the end re-used the rusty nuts that came with the hubs in the first place. I couldnt find replacements. Maybe a road/track specific shop could help.

There's a range of track nuts at SJS
http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/other-hub-spares-dept279_pg1/#page=

and they make the distinction between 1mm threads and 26tpi, but Im not familiar with which one is right. Maybe bencooper is around and can help.

@orangeboy thanks for that, will drop them an email. I say standard as the chap at the bike shop refereed to the bolt he sold me as standard. Think the bolt I need is only very slightly smaller, but small enough to come off!

@scaredypants How would I know the chain line is wrong? Is it just a case of it being straight? In that case it is. I will have a look at surly.

Cheers.

Go to a shop to sort the nut unless you can find the hub spec online

@Stoner thanks for your response. Glad I am not the only one who has had this problem. As of yet I haven't found a solution. Was waiting for a response from Planet X but as of yet I have not heard anything.

Thanks again.
