Warning for anyone who regularly rides from Midgehole and parks their car in the Blue Pig CP. We had a bit of a shock last night - we were turned away from the 'Pig as we "hadn't 'phoned them in advance" and were using the Club "like a pub". We've been riding from there and supping in the Club for the past 15+ yrs; it might have been to do with using their car park, as the three Ctte members (there was no one else in the Club) had to actually park next to someone else - we [i]had[/i] all parked sensibly. Very sour reception; we went to the Pack Horse instead. Don't know if any of the Hebden Bridge riders have experienced the same?
Have too many MTB tourists been turning up with cameras, posing in front of the sign of the famous site of bike-legend? )
