As titled and as expected no spectators allowed at the UCI Downhill in Fort William, what I’d like to know is if spectators are likely to be allowed at EWS events? They have a round later in the year in Bonny Scotland

Can’t find any info on Lets Gets, 8th and 1th July is in Italy. I’m more likely to be able to travel to Scotland than France though!

Course Marshall is a good shout but in the current climate they likely to ask locals only?

Really hope that the UCI offers the necessary financial concessions to make running the WC at Fort Bill viable still.

Would be awful if the organisers had to pull the event because they were gonna make a loss.

We all need world cup racing again.

Just kill and hollow out a fort william midge and wear it as a costume. Periodically stab people with a knitting needle to keep it realistic.

RE the EWS, I try to be reasonable about lockdown, sport, etc but if it comes to a point where I'm still not allowed to travel the 25 miles to the tweed valley, to ride on the EWS trails I helped build, but hundreds of people can travel from all over the world to race on them, well that can probably get to ****. (it's not til October though)

Vaccine passport might allow European visits for spectating. But I guess it depends on the state of the virus in the host country & if you need to isolate for a length of time when you return

Northwind, keep up the good work on the trail building and surely if you guys can’t travel then they wouldn’t be putting it on? But as said, it’s a while to go yet

Gutted about the world cup but it was to be expected , The EWS wont generate the same level of spectators and is in October so I cant see the problem tbh. I think for the last 10 riders you normally have close on 20,000 spectators from the visit Scotland jump to the grandstand at the bottom.
It would have been great to roar Reece down fort william in his rainbow stripes but alas It's not to be .
