Has anyone seen this in comparison to other high end lights?

My mates just bought one (yes he has more money than sense) and I would like to know how it stacks up and what the beamshots are like.

Mr Taylforth, my mate is indeed a pillock but a very rich one who like to spend his hard earned on mountainbiking and motorbike racing.

So Trout, i know you knows your onions....what are the downfalls of this light and what would the 'actual' lumens output be?

In the scheme of things his purchase was to replace the 2 Nukeproof lights he has, which in total cost way more than this new one.

Thats fair enough, but why didnt he check before he bought it?

Check what? his exact train of thought was look at CRC for brightest available light and then search interweb for best deal.

Check what the beamshots were like, and how it stacks up against the competition. Seems a bit silly buying it before doing so.

He doesnt care as long as its bright, i was just after the info for my own knowledge. And if there was the chance i could rip into him for his purchase then any ammunition woul dbe great.

He was happy enough with his Nukes but decided sod it more is better.

This months WMB has a full test of loads of lights and i think the Pro 3000 was included.

To cut a long story short, The Ayups won best lights in two categories and overall which makes me happy as that's what i've used for the last 3 years. ๐Ÿ™‚

Have the Lumen wars begun then ?.

Don't forget, Trouty and I get our lights measured in the lab for a real world figures.

That in itself is a good example of the extra distance we go to inform you lot.

Not likely to see any huge monster increases in the Lumen figures, from my lights this year.
Just lighter over all package weights and slightly longer runtimes.

Ahh fair enough! I misread your question and assumed he was the one who wanted to know.
