I'm after a Niner Rdo Carbon 29" Fork Black Licorice, I specifically want the tapered and 15 mm version. Jenson USA have them for what would be £350 incl postage, but it seems Niner don't allow Jenson to sell to the UK? (or anywhere else for that matter)

In fact all suppliers I've found won't send to UK and are pricing more towards the £500 mark, I don't really want to spend too much more than £350.

Anyone know why they won't ship to UK, managed to get one for a reasonable price, or know of any alternatives i.e. 29er carbon rigid, tapered, 15 mm?

Thanks in advance, and if it makes any difference, it would be for an On One Lurcher, I'm liking the idea of rigid 29er, as it will suit my riding - mainly firetracks / New Forest. On One do their own fork but it is standard 9 mm QR - anyone had experience with that fork?

Cheers, J

Have you tried the guys at Sfif? Don't they import Niner? (It's where I bought all my Niner stuff from)

I'm impressed with the tapered on-one fork. Compared to an exotic carbon, it gives a slightly more forgiving ride, but still precise. I am comparing tapered to straight steerer though but both are qr.

It is also much cheaper than the niner.

If you want the niner fork, im afraid you'll have to suck up the cost (Unless you can find one on sale).
There are alternatives, xlite, on one, whisky components and ragley are the most well known. Personally id get one of the many 15mm carbon forks coming frome china for around the £150 mark.

Try 29Squadron.com, they're shown them in stock and currently have 10% off everything on their site.

I've just noticed how similar the QR version of that Whisky fork is to this On-One fork...

www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/FOMTBCAR29D/carbon-fork---29in-mtb-disc-only
www.tritoncycles.co.uk/frames-forks-c6/rigid-forks-c51/whisky-no-7-carbon-qr-29er-fork-p1417

Design\shape wise, the Whisky forks look a lot smarter though.
