Honestly, I think any ride is improved by doing it the dark (fnar fnar). Just back in from a run round Newcastleton, it might not be the best the 7stanes offers but it's right on the door step and is a right blast on a clear, dark, freezing night. I just know I won't be able to sleep for ages though because I'm hyper now.
Excellent!

Oh, and anyone got any experience with these

A riding buddy had a set tonight and they appear to be fantastic. Not just concidering the price but fantastic, full stop.

Ah, thanks guys, they are indeed the DX lights and it also appears that they have been covered somewhat. I actually have a set of lumicycle lamps which I think need some new bulbs. (though it appears several people are having trouble with lumi, both here and on bikeradar. I've mailed 'em tonight so fingers crossed)

Night riding really does rock, I've just got back from my run of the gorlech trail, first night ride in years and man what a difference good lights make. I got one of those magicshine 900 lights and first outing tonight was mint. Had a tesco 3w Cree on me helmet for the fire roads. Most enjoyable but bloody cold! A regular fix for me now

Aw, no riding tonight, I'm sad! It's a perfect clear, crisp night too. BAH!

night riding again tonight, only a quick 2 hr spin though. Dry, not windy and quite crisp. It was ideal though my legs are telling me to take a break (pah, i'm on holiday for 10 days, no chance legsy)
