Fitting a new headset, cups and everything fix Ok but I'm not sure where the plastic washer goes.
It doesn't really seem to fit, there's a gap between fork crown race and lower cup but washer doesn't really seem to fit there, and the top cap seems to fit snugly on the upper cup, don't know whether to just leave it out, but it wouldn't be included if it wasn't needed, would it?
are you sure it's not the seal for the lower bearing cup. It's slightly bigger than the cup but if you wiggle it it will seat under the lip?
If it's the bit I think, it's the seal for the lower race. It fits snuggly into the lower cup after the bearing has gone in.
That seems to be the one, now what keeps the top end taught?
I've got bearing cup bearing and a cover but no wedge or anything like I have in other headsets am I missing something?
Anyone got any idea. Seems a little loose.
