Ok not even a problem. I need to decide what bike to take to trailaddiction in the alps middle of July.

I am lucky enough to have two bikes I have a Mega and a yeti ASR5.
I was sure I would take the mega to france but since getting the yeti I am not sure.
the yeti is lighter with less travel funning a revelation fork but pedals well and I seem to gel with it.

The mega is great but not the 'one' it has more travel and stiffer fork lyric. does not pedal as well though.

So what do you guys think will the yeti be good in proper hills or should I go for the safe bet and take the middle.

Take the one you feel most comfortable with. I went out with TA last year and there was one chap in one of the other TA groups on a 29er hardtail so you will be fine on either.

ASR5C

I was already sold on buying an ASR5 in 2011 when I did the Tour du Mont Blanc and there was an American kid on an ASR5 that left us all for dead on the downs as well as the ups. Complete b@5tard 🙂

Check the Yeti site too. Joey Schusler(sp?) is ragging an ASR5 in the Alps without a problem.

For me it's the best bike I've owned and is a really well mannered trail bike in the UK that I'm really looking forward to testing out in the Alps.
