Saw this at a central London station 2 days ago

2015 Kona Unit, stock, apart from red hope? BB , paint is in very good condition, so not usually chucked in a rack like that

Ive got one and I love it and treat it accordingly

this poor ones been thrown in at an odd angle with a lock that Id describe as optimistic, front QR already undone

Ive searched to see if anyones had one nicked

its been there for 48hrs

itll not last the weekend

I'm going to stick my neck out and say it's nicked, and the new owner doesn't realise it's value.

Once on a night out in East London I came across some street urchin riding a lovely Santa Cruz Chameleon, with really nice spec. He had no idea on it's worth, I offered him £120 which he accepted, then realised I was buying a stolen bike so didn't bother.

just an update (coz its exciting)

7 days later its still there, still leant at exactly the same angle onto the BSO next to it

it is directly under cctv,

maybe its genuine?
the lock looks about 1 blow with a hammer to me

has a thief dumped it there to let it cool off, or is it just a numpty who can afford to leave a posh bike sitting at a train station??

Bait bike for the police? Rob it, and see what happens?

Could be a bait bike.
