Hi,

My boy wants to convert his Specialized P All Mountain 2007 hardtail to singlespeed...fair enough.

Gusset tensioner & SS kit has arrived. We intend to start with a 2:1 ratio, 16t rear, 32t front.

Heres where i'm stuck...

The crank is a Truvativ Blaze AM which is twin & bash setup.

The Gusset SS kit says its optimised for 5th cog chainline so i guess both rings & bash come off and I run a single chainring.

However im stuck with finding a 32t outer chainring to suit the crank. I know the crank is a four arm and it needs to be 3/32" without ramp pins.
I cant find any info on the PCD?

I feel a right tit for asking but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Stu

You won't find a 32t outer very easily.
Try a middle ring on the outside, it will go on and be held in place by the bolts ( you'll need short bolts or spacers) to make it tight.
Or use the middle ring and bash (I do) and use spacers to tweak the chain line or put up with it slightly squewed.

I'd just be sticking a 32t ring on to the middle ring position, rather than the outer (I think that's what you mean). If you take a look somewhere like CRC most chain rings will just say "4 bolt, 104pcd, that's all you need. I got a nice Azonic one from there last week at the right price but there's obviously loads of others, Renthal, e13, Surly, Salsa, On One, Velo Solo, etc.

Something like this

still s8tannorm typed pretty much what is was going to!

104mm pcd is most likely. You're running a bash so you don't need short bolts. Jobs a good 'un
