The Yari is £380 the Pike £360

Yari is obviously brand new with warranty the Pike isn't.

Is the Pike worth the risk or is the Yari an obvious winner?

Anyone riding a Yari?

Or for nearly £100 less a X Fusion Sweep 🙂

Yari is a very good fork, really happy with mine.
I think a lot of people are too hung up on having lots of knobs and dials. The Yari is a simple to set up, value for money fork.
I was looking at a Lyrik but couldn't justify the extra cash.

I like simple. I have a set of 2015 36's RC2's up for sale for that very reason.

I get the stiffness with the Yari but not the charge damper.

Hmmmm

Are you after a 160mm Pike in 650b?

Only ask as I have a nice one I'll be looking to sell shortly, probably a bit cheaper than £360.

I rode a couple of Yaris recently and they were pretty poor I thought compared with the Pike. The MRP Stages and the 160mm Suntour were also better imo.

The Yari may be stiffer but it's got the motion control damper which just isn't as good as the new charger. Think of it as a bigger, stiffer Revelation.

Aren't the MRP nearly £700 and Yari's £380 ish?

Buy the pikes and swap the air shaft to drop them to 150

[s]Buy the yari, & upgrade the internals later if they feel too basic?[/s]
Actually the sweep's sound a bargain, upgrade to to the roughcut damper later if they feel too basic, & probably still only end up back at the £380 mark

If you buy them new, we're comparing new yari against 2nd hand pike, so similar price ranges when new. The pike is leagues ahead in damping performance. Xfusion might be a good shout though.
