After an little incident with either a rock or a badger in the dark last night my trusty Flow is now toast.

I've run Flows for about the last 4 years and found them strong and the weight ok, but as i'm having the wheel re-built is the enduro similar, better or not worth bothering with?

They are similarly priced so anyone had experience with both?

Never had Flow's but my Hope rims are cheese. I know loads of people who have dinged them or folded an edge over on the first ride including myself.

I still buy Hope Hoops because they're good value but I'd never deliberately source a Hope rim as a replacement. I'm thinking of EX471 when my current 35w are toast.

Not sure if this bothers you at all but Hope Enduro is 23mm internal,ย Stans Flow Mk3 is 29mm internal so quite a difference, which will change the shape of the tyre profile

A friend has just got the Flow Mk3's and hes well chuffed. the look great, lighter than the Hope DH (yes I know your looking at Enduro) good width and they were a little cheaper as a build. Tyre profile is nice and round on a 2.4 Maxxis DHR2 WT

Flows are stronger, the only reason my last pair of wheels are hope enduros is because they stopped doing stans with hope hubs and I didnt have the time to build my own so had to buy complete.

If like me you want to support Hope,ย  how about the dh rim?

Cheers guys. Hadn't thought about the internal width so need to check what my current ones are. As for going for the DH rim, that might be a bit overkill for my short travel Segment. then again it does encourage you ride faster than i normally would

If weight is a thing for people, the Hope DH's are 175gm heavier per rim.

I'm in a similar position, I am looking for a new rear 29er rim, for me the Stans Flow mk3 is winning, its wider internally and is mentioned more favorably across the internet then the hope rims.

What shark attack says. Seen a few too many dinged and bent hope rims. Have straightened a mates a few times. My bottom end DT rims have been fine. Personally if building a wheel I'd definitely be looking at something from DT (XM481, EX471, EX511, etc depending on preferences)
