Hi all,

Currently ive got an Orange 5 pro and a trek fuel ex8 both are 2011 models, recently ive noticed for no good reason ive not been using my orange at all despite prefering it to the trek! Ive seen some good reviews about the Santa Cruz Chameleon 2011 bike, especially like it in black (!) and i thought about selling the trek and getting the Cruz! as well as keeping the Five for more AM duties. Has anyone got a Cruz Cameleon, any thoughts as to what they are like good/poor etc? Any thoughts, ideas abuse well recieved!

Thanks in advance!

What will you be using the hardtail for? Short, long rides etc? The Five and Fuel are not that different so think you're doing the right thing getting rid of one. Chameleon is aluminium obviously so maybe not that comfortable if you were doing 3hrs plus? Look good fun though

The SC will beat you up, try steel, carbon or Ti instead.

Maybe buy an On-One, strip on of the FS's - build up.

Once happy, maybe flog the FS frame.

Are you taking the parts off the Trek?

I've got a chameleon and it's blimin great. I don't find it uncomfortable at all but I use a 27.2mm post and a shim.

They really are excellent.

Also check out a chumba hx1 I've got one of those two and I'd say it's better than a chameleon and cheaper too ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm biased, but have a look at Pipedream Sirius for HT fun. Except they don't appear to have any stock, don't know what that means... ๐Ÿ˜•
