Not sure if anyone remembers a post I made a over a year ago of the first frame I built, but this is the latest one! Slowly perfecting the art.....

Nice! Did you get the tubes pre-curved or did you do it yourself?

Great work. I'd be truly baffled by any cyclist who saw that and didn't immediately want a shot.

That filleting looks a lot healthier than the rust filleting of my old sea dog Pugsley ๐Ÿ™‚

Cheers for all the positive comments guys. All my own work, rolled stays, Ben, yoke is fabricated and the heavy looking sections are actually hollow in an attempt to keep the weight down. Forks are pair of On One Fatty carbon with a repaint, they are really light, cheap and nicely made and fit perfectly with the headtube.
No plans to go into production yet . I would love to be able to build bikes for a living but have to put food on the table so will continue to be a hobby for a while, although I have a couple of commissions already to keep me busy.

Spoke to your brother yesterday on his singlespeed oddball at Cannock Chase, did see your fat bike as well, the workmanship is spot on. Be interested to know if you think of making a business from your hobby, as it looks like you both have the talent.

Very very nice. Whose head tube did you use?

If you don't mind me asking.....what size tube roller dies do you have? I REALLY want a roller but can't yet justify the cost vs use it would get. And the only local place I can find has all manner of rollers - none of which are bike tube sized ๐Ÿ™

So what are you making next? I'm currently in the middle of a 26er mtb for youngster's 10th birthday. And chatting to Mr Sparkle on a ride the other week has given me a dangerous itch to make a 36er......

I thought they looked familiar. I just put a set of white ones on my Fatty. 600 grams lighter than the steel fork! Only 2 rides, but front end is noticeably lighter.

If I was in the market for a Fatty, it would have to be much like that. Well done, a beauty.

Keef, don't worry mate I have no plans to make anymore at the moment, can't afford any more of those tyres! ๐Ÿ˜‰ will need a hand going tubeless as failed badly and had to resort to tubes!
Got the headtube from Peter, don't think they are on his website, ask him for the tapered tube with the integrated inserts and he will know what you mean. Used a mates tube roller but will have to get one soon as I hate imposing, will get rollers for 16 and 14mm.
Got three 29ers to build, two single speed and one with hub gears.

Blimey, a 29er version of that (in the same colour scheme) might just stop me from lusting after a Trek Sawyer

What roller are you thinking of - one from Stakesys? Shame can't easily get the cheap Harbor Freight ones in UK as they seem to work ok with some tweaking of the rollers.

Just put an order into Peter as need some chainstays and a few things for next frame. Must ask if he has 44mm head tubes now.

Mick, if you look in the what's new section there is a nice 44mm straight headtube with reinforcing rings machined in, tapered one is not there that I can see.
Benji, if you see us at SSUK you can try and talk us into changing our mind! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Congrats on the bike, it looks amazing! You've kind of inspired me to build one again lol! Not too sure about the colour though xD but will be absolutely perfect for some winter riding! Was wondering though, you mentioned Peter, but Peter who? I was just wondering where you got the headtube from ๐Ÿ™‚

I would have, but yours looks far to big for me. However if you were to build me a small...... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Awesome bike.

The main tubes are 853 direct from Reynolds, headtube and BB are from Peter at Ceeway, smaller tubes were from Aerocom metals due to the longer lengths of tube for the seat stays. The yoke is all my own work and took a long time to fab up.
Qwerty, if your ever serious about a frame let me know, as I'm just building frames for fun it may take time to do, won't be cheap though! ๐Ÿ˜‰
Colour may not be to everyone's taste but that's the fun with a custom build, it can be any colour you like! Oh and I painted it too.
