Needs more info, I may be blind but is it xc, dh, 4x or what?
unless i'm mistaken, it looks like a knock-out thing? - which is a format that's great for spectators, but rubbish for slow participants like me.
and for that reason, i'm out.

It's an xc event, it is a knock out but the slower riders get fed into another series of races so hopefully you should be up against people of similar caliber. You'll start in a group who go round the course in a similar time so the racing should be tight whatever ability you are

but still, it seems half the riders get sent home after the first round.
(which is fine if that's how you want to run it, but are you sure you can persuade people to keep coming back?)
and... what's stopping people sand-bagging the qualifier, so that they're racing a slow group in the 1st round?
(so that the 'slow' groups actually have loads of fast lads in them)
or am i being thick again?
we shall give points for the time trial as an incentive to do well and help win the series. If you loose every time you should get at least 3 races round the course
