I've just noticed that Charge have new Cooker Kids frames with 20" and 24" wheels. As far as I'm concerned they're hitting that sweet spot: light enough (10kg for the 20"), but with biggish tyres (2.1"), no suspension, disc brakes.

Has anyone actually got one to give an informed opinion? My kids are not massive off-roaders but I'd like to have the ability there for them, the current plan was some Frogs but these look so much cooler. ๐Ÿ™‚

Why is it kids bikes have crazy long chainstays?

I don't necessarily subscribe to shorter is better but is it just a case of not having enough room to fit everything in?
