[Closed] new bike. what to build

I wanted to build a more xc type bike as a lot of the riders round my way are into that kind of thing. Not sure if I should build a scandal 29er, or a carbon 456 or something else. I have got gears, brakes and 26 inch wheels and a spare pike fork knocking around but fancied building a 29er hence the scandal. Bikes at the moment are a prophet and a dialled alpine.

I like techy ups and downs. The people I ride with like more flat and smoother trails. I can beat them on the ups and downs but they leave me for dead on the flat. Hopefully some training on my commute will sort out some of this but I wanted a bike that is a much like my current ones but faster 🙂
