New bike warranty day

Having already missed April/May riding due to injury, now going to miss May/Jun. 2 rides on the new Bronson and oil leaking from the Fox 36 (rebound knob). So LBS warranty return to Fox.
Sulking now.
Is it ok…to feel entitled to good working new stuff that costs £thousands?
Will probably put the old bike shorter fork on to at least get out. In the rain.

That sucks.

Have they said it will potentially take 6 weeks to fix/replace?

fingers crossed it’s back way earlier!

Turnaround at the UK fox service centre was very quick when I used them so hopefully they'll sort you out quickly. I'm sure mine were back within the week.

repair times have to be reasonable - half the summer would not be IMO

My Fox forks took a week to comeback, including postage both ways. That was mid summer, couple of years back.

My 38s went off to mojo/silverfish on Monday for the same problem. Booking system said the next slot was 30th May

Its the long current queue time at Fox + ship + collect + rebuild thats going to take up half of June.
I'm sure the actual fix time is 1 hour.

Interesting - I wonder if its a build quality batch problem.
I've had literally zero issues with any Fox fork I've had, theyve been bulletproof. Shocks have had a few issues.

Is the lower bolt loose? Or the plastic washer Brocken? Could be an easy fix if it is. Worth checking before sending them off.

Everything was tight. As said above - bike shop checked it out and have sent it back under warranty. I wasnt going to open it all up when its brand new and under warranty. Just got to suck it up and take Fox off that pedestal I had them on. 🙂

Mine were new old stock 2023 model. It wasn't the footnut. Lost all rebound damping and found the rebound cap full of oil.

No you do not.  Not having them for that length of time is not reasonable - your contract is with the shop - they need to get you up and running or just reject the whole bike and get something else

Just looked at Silverfish this morning to see if there's a progress tracker for my job (there isn't) but they're currently quoting 9th June for bookings today.

Are Fox UK any quicker?

Are they being fixed, or replaced? Brand new forks?

I know what I'd be pushing for.
