Just picked this up today, I'm quite pleased with it.
However it has these pedals on it which I've never used and I'm a little dubious about them. Are they any good or should I replace them with my old battered v12 mags?

thay look....strange. if thay feel okay then use em. its not how it looks its how it feels
The outer tabs have a habit of snapping off the first time the bike goes down on that side.
If you don't fancy them, you might get a decent price on ebay from some Cannondale fanboi.
They're called Cannondale Octopus pedals and they go for £35+ (when new / unused) on ebay and are notoriously rubbish - sell them and get something better.
