I've even sold my road bike to make room.
My first cross bike, as I feel it's more sensible for me (a big lad) than my roadie. I wanted full hydraulics as I HATE descending on my rim brakes. I had a test ride a few weeks back just around Manchester City centre and it was lovely, more comfy in the drops than my roadie and the 35c small block 8s didn't feel particularly draggy on the road.
I'll throw road tyres on for summer, potentially, if I just want to stick to the roads.
Excited.
Like that.
Evans ordered the wrong size.
New bike incoming next weekend now.
I've got one.
Hydraulic discs are amazing, but mountain bikers already know that! Consistent regardless of weather, good modulation, power on tap and none of the feeling that braking is grinding your rims to dust.
Its comfortable and has sensible features like an external bb for starters. The little things eh!?
Also, there's no toe overlap which is good for track standing at lights but then that means its quite a long bike compared to the race bike.
