A friend wants to get back into cycling. He has had road and mountain bikes previously and is planning to get something decent for riding around SE Wales including trail centres and local rides.
He has up to £2,000 to spend but has become a bit obsessed with bargains and discounts rather than getting something suited to what he actually wants to do with it.
I was thinking either hardtail or FS would do the job in 'trail' riding guise but not too sure exactly what to recommend. Cotic Soul came to mind immediately.
I realise it's a very broad question but any ideas appreciated. I have buyers block I think (the last complete bike I bought was in 2001!)
And yes I know he should trial ride a few different ones etc.
he's got just the right amount of money for soul full build 650b flavour. If he plans on doing a lot of trail riding a f/s might be more suitable for the black stuff.
