Looking to spend 2k or less on a new bike for cross country/newbie racing and marathons. I'm in Denmark so choice is fairly limited to these deals I've found on 2009 bikes.

I'm leaning heavily toward the commencal but I fear it may be a little too harsh for someone more used to long travel and reviews are pretty hard to come by.
The spark looks ot have it all but is by a distance (£350) the most expensive and not sure if full sus is really needed.
Any skin riders who can offer their opinions or views on the Scotts much appreciated.
