[#3985153]

Ok so I ride mostly XC and some dh. At the moment I ride a specialized hardrock se which is ok but not great. I am looking for a new bike sub £550 I don't mind if it's second hand but would like it to be reasonable. It has to be a hardtail.

I'm 5,7" and ride a 18 inch frame size

Please give me any suggestions

Neighbours look pleased you have moved in 😉

get something Second hand at that price point you wont get anything very good for that price - suntour forks or heavy Rockshok ones and low spec kit.

As for what bike well we could be here for ever

Why not just start with some decent forks and wheels for the hardrock
It's an ok frame given budget.

What's 'not great' about the hardrock

But if your 5 7 you should be on a 16-17 IMO

The June edition of WMB gave the Voodoo Hoodoo 5/5.

Decent enough componentry and fork for the price - £500.

Ok thank you for your help. The bad things about the hardrock is rim brakes, crappy suntour forks and heavy wheels. I agree about the frame size. Will look into that. Yeah the voodoo hoodoo looks good.
