Frame came Wednesday. Gorgeous. Swapping most bits from old bike so had everything ready and ordered in the few extra bits needed. Hoping to have had it all ready for Sunday ride.

Had to stop Thursday evening as the internal cable routing is ridiculous. Ordered a Park Internal Cable tool which came today. Brilliant. Makes it a walk in the park.

Then realised that the Reveb hose ordered was for the old one not the Connectamijig style. Shop doesn’t have any stock so it’s going to be next weekend for a ride.

Swapping the Mavic XD Freehub over onto the new Boost wheel and discovered that they have changed the fitting method and am going to have to get a new one. Taking some deep breaths and have put some Eno on.

Now sat here trying to get the frame cable port bungs back in without scratching the frame or destroying them. Anyone got any tips?

I’ve given up for the evening and have started on the Tegernseer Helles crate.

Eno will straighten you out.

Happy with your choice of gearing or are you still looking for a certain ratio?

True wheels?

If there is a section with a decent gap then I find it best to feed the grommet into that bit and twist it round, rather than trying to just poke it in all the way round.

Feel your pain with Oranges dropper routing. Whoever thought that was a good idea wants putting down.

I eventually used some cotten thread and a hover on the seat tube to get me started.

A liberal coating of grease helps massively with the cable grommets

Benman- greased up and in. Thanks.

Rusty spanner - the Fripp Eno helped massively too.

I commend you on your choice of beer.

I used a hairdryer to warm up the frame and the grommets, they went in fairly easily and regained their proper shape.

Used some thin TIG welding wire to fish the cables through.
