This is coming to you live and direct from the teeny tiny keyboard on my new Sony Xperia X10 Mini Pro. This smart phone malarkey is all new to me, so what apps should I start with?

Edit - oops, wrong forum, sorry

"mytracks" is good for recording rides

if you have wifi at home/work, "lastfm" and "tunein" radio are ace, as you can listen to 6 music or lasfm on headphones in the office, but still get up to go the printer.

"3g watchdog" keeps and eye on your usage for you

"clinometer", for head tube angles.

"ripcord alarm" if you ever charge your phone in public places (work desk for example)

"shazam"?

i used the "IMDB" app all the time for looking up people i cant place on tv.

"paypal" app for dodgey carpark bike part transactions

"layar"

and last but not least

"barnacle", which with a bit of fiddling, turns the phone into a wifi hotspot, allowing your laptop to get online over the 3G connection (avantage over wired tether is it can stay in your bag, and more than one person can use it at a time)

I thought the latest version of Andriod allowed the same as Branacle anyway? I know it can be tethered or whatever it is called to share it's web connection...I assumed it would be wireless (turn phone into Wireless Hotspot and off you go?).

Trainline - for train times/tickets
IMDB
Bubble Level (spirit level and Inclinometer)
My Tracks
Gmail
Kindle
You Tube
Bike Hub Cycle Journey Planner
Bump
Compass
