Right then. Just finished setting up my bike as 1x11 and took it for a very gentle spin on the flat and my new KMC chains powerlink keeps coming apart. The link doesn't sit down properly on the narrow wide ring. The rest of the chain works around the ring as it should. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Is it clicking into place? I give the pedals a good stamp to seat it.
Is it definitely an 11 speed power link?
As above, ensure the quick link is properly connected and locked into position.
Also, it might seem odd, but check that the "wide" chainring teeth slot into the outer links on the chain, and the "narrow" teeth slot into the inner links of the chain.
Yeah. Definitely 11 speed link. It came with the 11 speed chain and the link says 11s on it.
I had a good check to make sure it was properly connected both sides and seemed fine. Will have another go tomorrow. Thanks

Get it on the top of the chain line, so in tension, and give the pedal a proper hard kick.
