Am very very proud as I built it myself and it runs smoothly. Brakes very sharp and gears very smooth. Managed to keep the husband out of it which wasn't easy.
Managed to (almost) stick to the original plan which was to use only stuff lying in the garage/from other bikes.

Again, I'm very happy (a bit of self back slapping here) and it rides well. Feels very fast and nippy.

Looks good, shame black stopped.

Hopefully mine is going to be built up and released from 18bikes tomorrow, ready for Manchester Blackpool on sunday. Expecting a lot of thats a **it bike jokes. Atleast its a better colour than ice skaters tights or its it make-up counter foundation, sorry builders tea.

Like that a lot.

Though I own a Cotic (Soul) and like the design of that, I'm still not completely sold on the compact geom on the Roadrat. I think I'd prefer it with a horizontal or semi compact frame.

But, the colour is ace - soooo much nicer than black.

MTB gears so MrsMugsy can keep loaded panniers AND tow little Mugsy in his trailer when I'm tired when we go touring in August.

Plus...that's all we had lying around. There is a road bike in the garage for proper road.

Couln't keep the husband out of it for long...

yes, mtb gearing for reasons stated above. it's not intended as a road bike though. I have another for that.

I might decide to put a bigger chain ring though. we'll see how it goes.
might put bigger tires too as the original idea was a bike to do a bit of everything, including farm tracks and the like

How big are the current tyres?

I have minced down The Beast on 28mm, and 32mm Marathons are wonderful.
