My first time at this, so here goes. Completed at the weekend, took it for a spin yesterday:

And about to roll on the very trail that formed seed of an idea, that ended up with me building this bike (Climachx, Machynlleth):

As expected - it really does ride very well on the Climachxx - especially the last bit ๐Ÿ˜‰ Light, fast, yet burly. A carbon fibre flying carpet. I like it 8)

What's with the space elevator coming out of the stem?

That can't be a "Trail" bike because you apparently need 140mm up front and at least 127mm at the back to qualify as "short travel"

(Nice though...)

Ummm.. yes I was a little concerned about cutting the steerer too short, so thought I'd leave masses extra, just incase I re-decided about stem position after the first ride. It looks very much like I'll be running the stem 'slammed' anyways, so will cut a bit closer this time!

I think it's a 2007-8? Maybe.. 115mm travel rear-end.

nice, that looks very "efficient" the HA is the only thing that puts me off a bike like that.

I used to have the alu version of that with 120mm bolt through fork, it was great fun.

Your looks good but you really need a black stem and forks before you take it out in public again.

My old bike (and yes I did slam the stem shortly after this picture was taken)...
