Not my Achilles, more around the cup! Of my heel. Hurts in the morning when I walk downstairs.
Then its gone all day.
My training shoes are a good six years old and only have a polycarb sole.

Yup.. Worn out I'd say.

Too much flex or your tightening them too tight.

........ i cracked the pads of "fat" under my heel, due to too much barefoot indoor training!
-solution................... most of the day i wear aspics running shoes, that are so comfy, that i dont have any
heel pain anymore...
-but also try to stretch your achilles tendon, by leaning your feet towards fx a some stair
-shoot me a mail if you need some more info ๐Ÿ™‚

If it kicks in in the morning, before you even get out of bed, then you too have "plantar fasciitis." Sharp when you are stiff and goes away after some stretching? That's it.

Nothing too serious, fix suggested by my physios (Bristol Uni sports) was to make sure that I don't walk with my feet pointing out, to put a lot of effort into consciously pointing them in. You can get elasticated sock things that provide a bit of force to keep your feet straight too.

All sorts of things can cause plantar fasciitis, and it's not always that easy to get rid of.
