..for us to sign out and use if we want. A lot of people here cycle anyway, but for quick trips locally and for meetings involving a train journey, this could be quite useful.

I've been tasked with advising on the model and spec. Considering a Brompton, but what spec would be best? I'd assume mudguards and a rack will make it more practical to keep the road crud off suit trousers and somewhere to strap a laptop. Also, dynamo lights rather than batteries (the previous user will forget to charge the lights).

Is it better to go for an extending seatpost to cater for the taller riders, or will this then be a problem for the short ones?

What else should I specify? Any other (cheaper) makes worth considering?

Branding will be happening, likewise colours.

I'm sure you meant 'colorway'

Brompton M3L would be my pick. Just enough gears, nice ride position and mudguards. All you need.

With a custom "colorway", natch.

Opening a can of worms... a couple of company lids too?

A stack (they'll get lost) of trouser clips could be a winning move too. And maybe a lock?

Why not a Dahon? If it's going to be painted over, does it matter what it is?

not a Dahon because the product support is no where near as good as the Brompton

instead of the rack get the front clip and touring bag or the cheaper open bag

unless you've got someone particularly tiny i'd go for the taller post option

In comparison to Bromptons, Dahons are nice to ride but hard to pack/unpack, and they can't be slid into the same little spaces.

+1 Brompton - Still a good British well made brand. Easy to use for intended purpose (back wheel flips under the frame and stand upright).

As a general rule the better a bike rides the less it folds! Dahon for riding, Brompton for carrying!
