Whether by association, lyrics, whatever...

down, down to the downtown..."

Bon Iver's Blindsided - also the right sort of tempo for middle-ring singletrack, with a bit of climbing.

Which is nice.

The first lines of All Your Life by Nina Nastasia, which I have on an ATP comp:

Busted chin
Seeing stars
Glaring at your handlebars
Your handlebars

Why don't you
Try again
All your life
You couldn't win
You couldn't win

Couldn't find it on youtube 🙁

Autechre had a track called "bike" on their first album....it usually goes down quite well when riding in the deep forestry (where ever that might be).

Don't need any music to evoke riding, just the sound of my wheels, the sound of the trails and the thoughts in my mind.

Sorry.

What rubbish, CFH. I bet you pretend that you're airing out of the Malverns bombhole everytime you hear Jesus Jones. 😀

Who am i?
Where am i?
Why do i feel this way?

😉

Jamie, I ride several. At the moment, my stable includes a Spesh Enduro bling-skill-compensator, a Giant NRS all rounder, a Fisher (I know!) BMX, a Scott road bike, a Giant road bike and a lovely old Marin steel rigid retro lovely thing. Oh, and a mid-80s Raleigh Cameo, complete with white wall tyres, for da bling homeboy!

Is it because I've just landed on my face in front of a sea of Bula hats?

Ah, great times...

"She sells sanctuary" by "The Cult" always reminds me of mountainbiking and gets me in the mood to get out, great before a race. Anyone remember the TV ad. from the mid 90's-ish, think it was for Lucozade or Mars, a girl on a Cannondale Super-V got heli-dropped off on the top of a mountain and rode away ?

The Band of Horses. Music to the Danny Macaskill Edinburgh video. Makes me want to ride through wooded singletrack of an evening. Its playing just now and could well imagine sitting in the sun with a cold beer covered in trail dust.

I love the song in the last scene of Seasons, I don't know whether it's just the music or the whole scene that makes me want to get out and ride my bike

I reckon if you look hard enough, you can probably spot Gabe hucking out of a "technical bowl..." 😀

BTW, I was going to advise on pedal choice - but I'm off out for a sneaky pint (despite STW, I was doing some MA work - honest!).

Catch ya soon.
